If you’ve ever looked at your nonprofit’s website and thought “this doesn’t reflect who we are anymore” — this post is for you.
Today, Good Code Studio is officially opening applications for our pro bono website partnership — and we’re selecting up to two Houston-area nonprofits to receive a fully donated WordPress website redesign or rebuild.
No cost. No catch. Just a real website partnership built around your mission.
Why We’re Offering a Free Nonprofit Website Redesign
We started Good Code Studio because we believe good design and clean code shouldn’t only be accessible to organizations with big budgets. Houston has an incredible nonprofit community — organizations doing meaningful, lasting work every single day — and too many of them are representing that work with websites that feel outdated, hard to navigate, or impossible to manage.
A weak website doesn’t just look bad. It costs you donors. It confuses volunteers. It makes it harder for the people you serve to find you and trust you.
We want to help change that — starting with up to two organizations this summer.
What This Free Houston Nonprofit Website Partnership Includes
This isn’t a template swap or a quick facelift. Selected organizations will receive a focused custom WordPress website partnership that includes:
- Website strategy and content structure guidance
- A full WordPress refresh or rebuild
- Content organization and light rewriting for clarity and search visibility
- First-pass SEO and performance optimization
- Basic training and a collaborative handoff after launch
- A short post-launch support window for any immediate issues
We’ll also make sure your site is built with AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) in mind — meaning it’s structured to show up not just in traditional search results, but in AI-generated answers too. That’s increasingly where people are finding organizations like yours.
Which Houston Nonprofits Should Apply
This partnership is designed for Houston-area nonprofits that already have a live website but need a stronger digital foundation. If your current site:
- Feels outdated or hard to manage
- Makes it difficult for visitors to understand your mission
- Isn’t supporting your donations, events, or outreach the way it should
- No longer reflects the quality of your work
— then we’d love to hear from you.
You don’t need a big team or a big budget. You do need a clear point of contact, a willingness to collaborate, and the ability to cover any third-party costs like hosting or domain fees if needed.
What We Ask Houston Nonprofit Partners In Return
We’re building this partnership to be mutual. If selected, we ask that your organization provide a testimonial after launch, allow us to feature the project in our portfolio, and include a small Good Code Studio credit in the footer. That’s it.
We’re genuinely invested in seeing the organizations we work with succeed — and we’re excited to build something together that lasts.

We build websites that are thoughtful, clean, and built to last — and we’re proud to call Houston home.
How to Apply for Your Free Nonprofit Website
Applications are open now and close on June 30, 2026. Up to two organizations will be selected, and we’ll notify applicants within 2–3 weeks of applying. Projects typically move from kickoff to launch within 6–10 weeks, depending on content readiness on your end.
If this sounds like a fit for your organization, we’d love to hear from you.
